Rev. Greg Steible

Greg and his family are thrilled to be living on beautiful Whidbey Island. With the beaches and the parks, the mountains in the distance and the beautiful greenery everywhere – this place is amazing. Greg and Kendra have three young kids (Lydia, David & Hannah) and together they enjoy playing games, exploring the island, and eating pizza. Greg also is a knitter, reader, and hobby collector. With a heart for serving God and serving others, the Steible family values relationships above most else, and hope to get to know you too.

Our Staff

  • Office Manager - Dana Carnes

I was born and raised on a cattle farm in Missouri. I married an active-duty Air Force guy in 1994 and after moving 12 times over 23 years, we came to Oak Harbor after my husband retired from the Air Force so we are here to stay! This is the fourth church I've worked at over the years and I truly feel called to my church work.

  • Treasurer - Gaye Litka

I have been a member of Whidbey Presbyterian since 1973 when the Navy brought my family to Oak Harbor. I worked for many years as a medical office manager and have served as our Church Treasurer since 2001. In my spare time, I enjoy participating in community theater, both onstage and behind the scenes as a director, singing with the Whidbey Community Chorus, and enjoying time with my family. On sunny summer days, you might find me sitting behind my husband Tom on our Harley enjoying the back roads of our beautiful Northwest.

Born and raised not too far from Whidbey in Everett, WA, I'm a bit of a local by proxy! I met my husband, Alan, in between my freshman and sophomore year at WSU (Go Cougs!) in 2016, we married in Nov 2017, and I moved to Whidbey in Feb 2018. He's been stationed here for the last six years and we have plans to stay. We welcomed our first son, Leland, in July of 2021! So far, I have about five years overall of various ministry experience under my belt, including being a Young Life leader/coordinator, a church office administrator, and a nursery coordinator. My passion for ministry and working with children finally led me here to Whidbey Pres, and I can't wait to share God's love with the littlest in His Kingdom!

  • Custodian - linkin berner

This is the church I've been in my entire life. I'm 18 and glad to have this as my first official job.
