Our Pastor -

Rev. Jon Draskovic

Jon became the pastor at Whidbey Presbyterian Church in 2015. His heroes include Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Ken Bailey, Barbara Brown Taylor, Eugene Peterson, and Richard Rohr to name a few. His calling is to point people to the transformative power of God and walk with them into new places with God, with life, and with themselves.

Jon is happiest when he’s outside enjoying the beauty of God’s creation. When recreating (or re-creating), you’ll often find him with his beautiful bride, Kristen, and their daughters Elise & Greta. He’s also a dog lover, so know that if you make an appointment to meet with him, you may be greeted by Porter, his four-legged “office associate” as well.

Jon is also comfortable being moderately un-hip and non-tech savvy. He has very little knowledge of pop-culture or the latest app. His first live concert was to see Yanni with his mother. Fashion sense is not a personal strength. Having honest conversation about faith and life is.

Our Staff

  • Office Manager - Dana Carnes

I was born and raised on a cattle farm in Missouri. I married an active-duty Air Force guy in 1994 and after moving 12 times over 23 years, we came to Oak Harbor after my husband retired from the Air Force so we are here to stay! This is the fourth church I've worked at over the years and I truly feel called to my church work.

  • Director of Music - Teri Ramsey

My roots in music were seeded and developed in this area playing piano at church. I've been with WPC for several years and marvel at the opportunity God has presented to me in working with so many talented individuals. Personally, I will continue to seek God's direction in worship looking at creative and unique ways to express God's love through music. My children are young women who reside in CA and OR. They continue to be my great love as I treasure moments with family. I also spend time working on musical theatre with The Whidbey Playhouse and The Anacortes Community Theatre.

  • Custodian - Bob Hughes

I was born in a small town in Pennsylvania and my aunt and uncle raised me. I joined the US Navy in 1977 and retired in 1999 as a chief petty officer. I met my wife in San Diego and we were married in 1980 and have two sons.

  • Treasurer - Gaye Litka

I have been a member of Whidbey Presbyterian since 1973 when the Navy brought my family to Oak Harbor. I worked for many years as a medical office manager and have served as our Church Treasurer since 2001. In my spare time, I enjoy participating in community theater, both onstage and behind the scenes as a director, singing with the Whidbey Community Chorus, and enjoying time with my family. On sunny summer days, you might find me sitting behind my husband Tom on our Harley enjoying the back roads of our beautiful Northwest.
